The Dyke seeks to advance multidisciplinary scholarship by providing a credible platform for the dissemination of original research, theoretical reflections, and applied studies that address contemporary challenges in local, regional, and global contexts. The journal is committed to fostering academic dialogue that bridges theory and practice, encourages critical inquiry, and contributes to the generation of knowledge that informs policy, innovation, and sustainable development.

Through the publication of high-quality and rigorously reviewed work, The Dyke aims to:

  • Promote interdisciplinary research that engages with emerging social, economic, cultural, technological, and environmental issues.
  • Encourage scholarship that reflects African perspectives and contributes to the global knowledge economy.
  • Support early-career and established researchers in disseminating findings that have both scholarly and practical relevance.
  • Strengthen academic networks and collaboration within and across disciplines.

Scope

Areas of interest submissions are invited from, but not limited to, the following fields:

  • Arts and Humanities: Literature, Cultural Studies, History, Philosophy, Communication, Linguistics, and Applied Linguistics.
  • Social Sciences: Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Political Science, Economics, and Development Studies.
  • Education:Curriculum Development, Pedagogy, Educational Policy, Leadership and Administration, and Inclusive Education.
  • Business and Management Sciences: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management, and Public Administration.
  • Environmental and Earth Sciences: Climate Studies, Geography, Environmental Management, Sustainability, and Natural Resource Governance.

Interdisciplinary and comparative studies that bridge multiple domains or engage with emerging global issues are particularly encouraged.
